Kelly T. McCarthy is the CFO and VP of Development of Medical Area Total Energy Plant (MATEP), a total energy facility and microgrid located in Boston, MA that has been serving the Longwood Medical and Academic Area (LMA) with steam, chilled water and electricity for almost 30 years.
Prior to joining MATEP, Mrs. McCarthy served as controller and vice president of finance for Homeland Renewable Energy, a renewable energy company focused on developing, owning, operating and maintaining renewable energy power plants in the United States. Homeland Renewable Energy (Fibrowatt) built the largest poultry litter and wood waste fueled power plant in Benson, MN, which came online during 2008.
Previously, Mrs. McCarthy was a financial reporting analyst for Vicor Corporation, where she was responsible for all Sarbanes Oxley compliance and internal audit functions. Earlier in her career, Mrs. McCarthy was a Senior Associate for Vitale, Caturano & Co. Ltd.
Mrs. McCarthy earned her B.S. in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the Whittemore School of Business at the University of New Hampshire.
